Within walking distance of one of Europe’s most well known winter ski and summer holiday resorts, Camping Rocchetta is an attractive, medium sized, family run site set largely under pines beside a stream. The pitches are level, on grass and all have 3A electricity and views of the surrounding mountains, some over 3,000 m. high. The site has well maintained, all-year-round facilities. Good English is spoken at the helpful reception and whether your interests are walking, cycling or something more strenuous, there is plenty of information and advice available, ensuring you make the most of your stay in this beautiful region.

Although there is a bus stop outside the site, a good starting point to appreciate the surrounding mountain scenery is the walk into town, mainly along a footpath reached by turning right at site entrance and right again after 100 meters. Within the area there are dozens of numbered trails, and whether you enjoy looking at dinosaur footprints over 200 million years old or walking the ancient routes of the Dolomites, all can be done surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. The town of Cortina with its bars, restaurants and good shopping should not be missed.

Directions to Camping Rocchetta

From the south travel north on the A27, after Belluno take exit Cadore/Cortina joining the SS51. Continue to the outskirts of Cortina (passing the Olympic ski jump) site is signed to the left.
