Pikseke is one of the better campsites in Estonia and it is close to the beautiful seaside resort of Haapsalu. There are 40 good sized, level grass pitches on two fields. All have 10A electricity and most are in the shade of mature trees. The site was opened a few years ago on a former farm and it is now a well established site that attracts mainly Finnish, Dutch and German visitors. The city of Haapsalu has many things to offer. Its beautifully restored old centre has a medieval bishop’s castle, which you can visit, and there is a pleasant promenade alongside the shallow waters of the bay.

Here there are several statues, including one of the famous composer Pjotr Tchaikovsky who spent his holidays here. Haapsalu is also the ferry port for the island Hiiumaa. After a hard day visiting the town, you can relax in the site’s sauna or take a massage. Every week a young couple from a local ostrich farm call at the site to sell ostrich ham and other products (you can also visit their farm).

Three small sanitary units contain British style toilets, a washbasin and free, controllable hot showers. Washing machine. Sauna (charged). Fully equipped kitchen. Sauna, Motorhome services. Baker calls daily (09.00). Massage. Bicycle hire. Playground. Internet access. WiFi.

Directions to Camping Pikseke

Coming from Talinn on Tallinna Mnt, continue towards Lihula on Lihula Mnt. Cross the railway bridge and then turn right onto Männiku Tee. Site is signed from the centre of Haapsalu.
