Alan Rogers Review of Camping Paduella
Camping Paduella is a beautifully maintained, simple site which has been run by the friendly Peretti family for 40 years. As it is a popular site, it is best to book ahead for high season. There is a wide choice of pleasant pitches (137 in total), some shaded under pines, others grassed and hedged with less shade. All are well maintained on mostly level terraces with good access and 4/16A electricity. The surroundings are pleasant and the site is peaceful. The main reception area with its small shop, pizzeria and bar are at the front of the site. The lovely white sand beach is 300 m. away and the picturesque town of Calvi is a delightful 30 minute walk. Dogs are not permitted.
There is a fairly busy road and light railway to cross to get to the beach but most of the walk is through the shaded beach parkland. A large number of Bengali tents are available to rent. Barbecues are not allowed due to the fire risk.
Facilities at Camping Paduella
Two centrally located modern and clean sanitary blocks (British style WCs). Well equipped showers with accessible facilities. Baby bathroom. Laundry with washing machines, ironing board. Small shop with basic supplies and fresh bread, snack bar and bar (all open June-Sept). Play area. Sports ground. TV. Charcoal barbecues not permitted. Fridge hire can be arranged. WiFi (charged high season).
Directions to Camping Paduella
From the north, site is just before the town of Calvi. It is directly off the RN197 on the left and is well signed.
