Camping le Haut Chandelalar is a spacious, family run naturist campsite high in the Alpes Maritimes, east of Castelallane and only 1 km. from Brianconnet. The site covers an area of ten hectares, laid out on terraces and the higher pitches have sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. The 70 grass pitches are car-free during high season, reasonably level and naturally laid out in woodland glades offering some shade. All have 10A electricity (Europlug). After an active day you can relax by the pool or around the bar and then enjoy a gourmet meal prepared by the very entertaining site owner.

This site is rather remote and local access roads may be a challenge to large or under powered outfits. Shops are over 30 minutes by car from the site and shopping should be carefully planned. However, the campsite has its own well stocked shop including a variety of local produce. This a quiet, peaceful and relaxing site for couples or families with young children.

Restaurant with gourmet menu. Takeaway. Heated pool. Boules. Multisports area. Games and TV room. WiFi (charged). Library. Large communal barbecue area. Dogs are not accepted.

Location

From Castellane east on D4085 for 10 km. to la Battie where left onto D452 for 7 km. Turn left, D2211 for 10 km. to St Auban. Continue with care for 6 km. through the Clue de St Abin towards Brianconnet. Site is well signed at sharp bend 1 km. to the left.
