Alan Rogers Review
MondSeeLand is set in a delightful location and offers excellent facilities in a pleasant part of Austria, to the east of Salzburg, between the lakes of Mondsee and Irrsee. There are 100 good sized, level touring pitches (80 extended stays, in a separate area), set amongst the trees at a lower level and on terraces, each with water, wastewater and 16A electricity. The heated swimming pool is covered and has a sunbathing terrace. There is a small fishing lake (unfenced) and a small playground. During summer there is an entertainment programme for children. Good English is spoken.
The site is peaceful in a natural setting with views of the Drachenwand, Schafberg Schober and Zwölferhorn mountains, yet less than ten minutes drive from the autobahn. There are ample opportunities for rambling and cycling over the 100 km. or more paths in the region, and Mondsee and other towns within the area are well worth visiting.
The sanitary facilities are in the reception and pool complex and offer first class facilities including some washbasins in cabins and a suite for disabled visitors. Laundry with washing machines and dryer. Kitchen with cooking and dishwashing. Motorhome services. Shop and restaurant. Heated outdoor swimming pool (1/5-15/9). Playground. Fishing and riding. WiFi (free in lounge). The adjoining restaurant offers local and other dishes served in a traditional setting.
From A1/E55 exit 264 turn north onto B154 (signed Straßwalchen). In 1.5 m. turn left at crossroads (by glassworks) and then 2 km. to site (signed).Link to campsite location map on google
