Recommended by a reader, this simple campsite between Castellammare del Golfo and Scopello is 1.5 km. uphill from the beach. This site may appeal to those campers who are self sufficient and do not require the amenities provided by many more developed campsites. The pitches are level and of average size and shaded with views over a valley. There is a small bar and a villa with rooms to rent, as well as some lovely bungalows for hire.
The site provides a quiet shaded place to camp with very basic facilities which might be useful during the very busy high season, when finding a campsite can be difficult.
Facilities at Camping Lu Baruni
Facilities are somewhat rustic with a single small sanitary block. A pleasant bar and terrace area with basic provisions available. Tennis court. Boules. Play area.
Directions to Camping Lu Baruni
From A29 motorway take Castellammare del Golfo exit, then along S187 a few kilometres west of this town. There are two turns north towards the coast and Scopello within 1.5 km. of each other. Take second or further west of these and site is along this road.
