This is a friendly, relaxed 6 ha. site in the heart of the Parc Naturel de la Forêt d’Orient and a very short stroll from the Lac d’Orient with swimming and fishing, and opportunities for sailing and boating (with your own equipment). There are around 200 pitches on level or gently sloping ground separated by hedges or bushes and with a choice of sunny or shady spots. All have 6A electricity and water nearby; just a dozen or so are occupied by caravans to rent.

There are excellent walking and mountain biking routes in the nearby forest or you could just stroll to the nearby bar and restaurant! The Forêt d’Orient Regional Park is a massive expanse with the village of Geraudot at its centre. To the west, the city of Troyes escaped significant war damage and merits a visit.

The city is the capital of the Aube department and dates back to the Roman era. A fine selection of half-timbered, 16th-century houses is one of the main interests, but the cathedral of Saint Paul and Saint Peter is also well worth visiting.

Facilities at Camping les Rives du Lac

Two toilet blocks, one heated when necessary, the other open only in high season. Hot showers, some washbasins in cabins. Accessible sanitary facilities, Dishwashing and laundry under cover. Filling point for motorhomes. Bread etc. can be ordered. Small shop. Play area (2-6 yrs).

Directions to Camping les Rives du Lac

Géraudot is due east of Troyes. From Reims on A26 leave at exit 23 (Thennellières) and follow D619 for 7 km. Turn north on D1F to Géraudot from where site is well signed to the east on D43. From A5 Paris-Nancy join A26 Reims then as above.
