Les Quatre Saisons is a small, quiet and rural British owned campsite in the Creuse. The site is open all year round and has been laid out on a large sloping, grassy field without roads or footpaths making movement around the site rather difficult, especially in wet weather. There are 26 undelineated pitches scattered around the site, all with electricity, some having shade. There is another large grassy area for recreation. Access to the site involves a tight turn up into the site from a narrow road and is not suitable for large outfits.

A novel feature here is to combine camping with bed and breakfast accommodation – where parents might sleep in the main house and children could camp in their tents, meeting up for breakfast in the morning. There are many fine walks and cycle tracks leading directly from the site. The Creuse is rich in greens (forests and meadows) and blues (brooks, rivers, waterfalls and lakes), thereby deserving its name as the ‘vert et bleu’ region. There is much to do and see in this under populated department. The beautiful Lac de Vassivière is close and is popular for various watersports.

Fully tiled, small shower block with accessible facilities. Washing machine. Homemade bread, preserves and home-grown vegetables for sale. Breakfast service and evening meals available at the farmhouse. Play area. Recreation field. Rooms in main house to rent. WiFi on most of site. Dogs are accepted by prior arrangement.

Directions to Camping les Quatre Saisons

From Guéret, head south on D940 to Pontarion and then to Bourganeuf on D941. Take the D8 south to Faux Mazuras, and shortly beyond, east on D31 to Chignal. From here site is clearly signed.
