Alan Rogers Review of Camping les Peupliers
Les Peupliers is run by friendly, family managers who keep this site attractive and tidy. It is just 300 metres from a long, wide, sandy beach. The touring pitches, of which there are 109, are on level open ground, all with 10 or 16A electricity. Those in the newest part are hedged but, with just a few trees on the edge of the site, there is little shade. The campsite amenities are near the entrance, housed in neat modern buildings. An animation programme for children and various activities are organised in high season. There are also 55 chalets/mobile homes etc. for hire. This site is ideally located for visiting Caen, Bayeux and the traditional seaside towns of Deauville and Trouville.
The site is ideal for couples and families who are looking for a variety of activities. The beaches in this area are plentiful and clean – a paradise for children. If sightseeing is on your agenda, many of the World War Two beaches and all the historical interest associated with D Day are within easy reach. At Deauville and Trouville, just a short distance away, you can soak up the atmosphere, perhaps spot a celebrity or two or relax on their beautiful beaches. You may, of course, prefer to stay on site and enjoy the facilities provided by the delightful managers. Access to and from Les Peupliers is controlled by traffic lights.
Facilities at Camping les Peupliers
Two excellent heated toilet blocks with washbasins in cabins and showers. Good accessible facilities. Laundry room. Small shop, bar with terrace and takeaway (all July/Aug). Heated outdoor swimming pool and paddling pool (June-Sept). Indoor heated pool (Apr-Oct). Play area. Games room. Entertainment in high season. WiFi over part of site (free).
