Alan Rogers Review of Camping les Ecossais
Les Ecossais is a well tended, value-for-money, municipal site alongside Lac de Pirot and only 1.8 km. from the village of Isle-et-Bardais. Only fishing is allowed in the lake close to the site but a good lake beach with pedalo hire is only 2 km. distant. The site has 50 good sized grass pitches with 10A electricity. One area has hedges and trees separating the pitches; in the more open area many of the pitches are sloping. This site will suit those looking for a good simple site with no organised activities in a quieter part of France.
Facilities at Camping les Ecossais
One good quality toilet block with all necessary facilities. Small bar (all season). Games room. Baker calls July/Aug. Tennis. Minigolf. Lake fishing. Communal barbecue. Gîtes to rent all year.
Directions to Camping les Ecossais
Leave A71 at exit 8 and go east through St Amand Montrond onto the D951. After 14 km. turn right on D953 to Ainay le Château. At end of village turn right on D64 to Isle-et-Bardais.
