Alan Rogers Review of Camping les Ajoncs d’Or
This site is situated in pine woods, 1.5 km. inland of La Baule and its beautiful bay. A well maintained, natural woodland setting provides a wide variety of pitch types (just over 200), some level and bordered with hedges and tall trees to provide shade and many others that maintain the natural characteristics of the woodland. Most pitches have 6A electricity and water nearby and are usually of a larger size. There is a wooded area that young campers are encouraged to pitch. A central building provides a shop and an open friendly bar that serves snacks and takeaways. The owner, M. Garnier, is continually looking for ways to improve his site.
Large areas of woodland have been retained for quiet and recreational purposes and are safe for children to roam. It can be difficult to find an informal campsite close to an exciting seaside resort that retains its touring and camping identity, but les Ajoncs d’Or does this. Enjoy the gentle breezes off the sea that constantly rustle the trees.
Facilities at Camping les Ajoncs d’Or
The single sanitary block is clean and well maintained providing plenty of facilities including a baby room and accessible facilities. Washing machines and dryers. Shop, bar and snack bar (July/Aug and w/ends). Good size swimming pool with slides and paddling pool (1/6-15/9). Sports and playground areas. Bicycle hire. Entertainment and aquagym classes (July/Aug). WiFi in some areas.

From N171 take exit for La Baule-les Pins. Follow signs for La Baule Centre, then left at roundabout in front of Carrefour supermarket and follow site signs.
