Les Acacias is a 2.5-hectare urban site on the west bank of the Allier river. It is opposite the historic spa town of Vichy, which has many attractions including parks, spas, theatres, a racecourse, ample sporting opportunities and numerous shops bars and restaurants. There are 105 level, average size, grass/gravel pitches and 30 mobile homes for hire. The 75 pitches for touring have 10A electricity and 57 are fully serviced. Access is possible for large units, although some busy roads must be negotiated. It is a good short stay site for visiting Vichy.

The hilly region around Vichy is well worth exploring. To the north lies Saint Pourçain and its vineyards, to the west lie the Gorges de la Sioule, to the south is the Parc des Volcans and to the east you will find the Bourbonnaise mountains. All of these deserve a visit. The swimming pool, paddling pool and large toboggan are great for unwinding after a day sightseeing. In high season, games are organised on site, and evening entertainment is provided three times a week. An adjacent cheaper section of the campsite is only used in high season.

Adequate sanitary blocks with some private cubicles and accessible sanitary facilities. Washing machine. Motorhome services. Basic supplies, bread (1/5-15/9). Soft drinks and simple takeaway (1/6-15/9). Heated swimming and paddling pools with sunbathing area and slides (15/5-15/9). Boules. Play area (4-12 yrs). Games/TV rooms. Organised family activities (July/Aug). Multisports stadium. Canoes and boats loaned. Fishing. WiFi (free).

Directions to Camping les Acacias

From A71 take exit 12 (Vichy), head east on A719 then D2209 to Bellerive-sur-Allier. Turn right at roundabout with fountains, follow signs to Berges des Allier, Campings and then Acacias. Site in 3 km. with entrances in rue Claude Decloître and rue Eugénie Desgouttes.
