Alan Rogers Review of Camping le Soleil de Provence
This site has been developed to a high standard. The 194 average sized pitches, 172 for touring units, are separated by hedges and a variety of young trees offering only a little shade (10A electricity). The excellent pool, surrounded by a sunbathing terrace and overlooked by the bar, is an unusual shape with an island in the centre. A new paddling pool has been added and one end of the pool is very shallow. There is some organised entertainment in July and August but the emphasis is on a quiet and peaceful environment and is an ideal site for relaxing and unwinding. The views from this spacious, well organised, family run site must take some beating.
The 360 degree panorama includes Mont Ventoux, the surrounding hills and the vineyards of northern Provence. It offers an excellent base from which to explore this very interesting area. Within a few kilometres one can find old towns such as Nyons, the olive capital of France, Orange and Avignon. The countryside is full of vineyards, lavender and sunflowers and the mountains offer a challenge to walkers and cyclists.

Modern well appointed, heated toilet blocks. Accessible facilities. Baby room. Washing machine, dryer. Motorhome services. Small shop for bread, open on demand. Bar, snack bar (June-Sept). New aqua park with slides and paddling pool. Small gym. Play area. Volleyball. Boules. Free WiFi on part of site.
Directions to Camping le Soleil de Provence
Site is 4 km. north of Vaison-la-Romaine on the D938 road to Nyons. Turn right to St Romain-en-Viennois. Site is signed from there. Take first left to site.
