Camping Le Puits de l'Auture is near the town of Saint-Palais-sur-Mer (130 km north of Bordeaux). You can easily reach the beach on foot (Grande Côte), and it is only a 200 m walk from the campsite. The site has 215 pitches, of which 180 are for touring units, have a 10-amp hook-up point and are on well-maintained, flat grass surfaces lined with hedges, bushes and trees. There are also 35 mobile homes and safari tents available to hire.

The site has a pizza takeaway service during the summer, as well as a small shop, and there are 4 BBQ areas scattered around the site, which you can use freely. There are also some picnic tables to use if you want to dine alfresco. Restaurants and other eateries are on the seafront promenade. Shops, a covered market, a good bakery and a fishmonger can be found in Vaux-sur-Mer.

Royan is a seaside resort town just a few kilometres from Saint-Palais-sur-Mer. It has a beautiful beach, a lively town centre, and several historical attractions, including Notre Dame de Royan church and the Royan Museum. La Palmyre lighthouse is located a few kilometres north of Saint-Palais-sur-Mer. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse for stunning coastline views.

Directions to Camping Le Puits de l'Auture

From the A10/E5 At Saintes take exit 35 and join the N150 towards Royan. On the edge of Royan join the D25 direction St. Palais-sur-Mer, then a sharp left turn to remain on the D25 towards La Grande Côte on the boulevard. The site is on the left off this road.
