Le Pirot is an attractive, simple site on an island in the River Lesse, on the edge of the pleasant village of Han. Because of the access, it is more suitable for small caravans, motorhomes and tents. Bars, restaurants and shops are within walking distance located in the village. There are just 40 pitches on site, 17 of which are for touring with electric hook-up connections, and two areas are available for tents.

There are views across both branches of the river. A tourist tram takes visitors from the village to the famous caves of Han-sur-Lesse, and the tourist office offers bicycle hire and has information about cycling and walking routes and a wide variety of attractions in the area. Nearby, Parc de Chevetogne has lakes with canoeing, forest activities, themed gardens, an aquarium, riding, a swimming pool, restaurants, minigolf, a children’s farm and play areas, and organises occasional concerts.

Facilities at Camping le Pirot

Recently modernised sanitary facilities, including washbasins in cabins with hot and cold water and controllable showers. There are no accessible facilities, chemical disposal, or on-site motorhome services. Communal barbecue area (no barbecues on pitches). Pets allowed.

Directions to Camping le Pirot

Han is 55 km. southeast of Namur. From the E411 Brussels-Luxembourg motorway, take exit 23 (Wellin/Han-sur-Lesse) and follow signs for Han-sur-Lesse. The site is on the left, immediately before the main river bridge. With easier access, Camping de La Lesse is signed at about 100 m. further along on the right.
