A quiet, well established site, Le Pas Opton is managed by Spring Harvest Holidays which has developed the site and its facilities. The site is now operated as a Christian holiday centre. Touring visitors on daily rates are only accepted outside July and August. It is 6 km. inland from Saint Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. With a well ordered atmosphere, it offers a range of on-site amenities including a heated swimming pool and water slide. There are 67 standard or premium touring pitches, all with electricity (6A Europlug) and some with hardstanding, water and drainage. There are also 190 mobile homes and fixed tents.

The pitches in the original part are well shaded by mature trees and tall hedges. The newer areas have less shade but are developing well with a more spacious feel. The River Vie runs past the rear of the site (fishing is possible, licences available in the village) and it is fenced and gated. Canoes can be hired to put on the river, but there can be a current at times.

Two unheated sanitary blocks include washbasins mainly in cabins for women, partly for men, and units for babies and accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. Shop (30/6-1/9). Bar with fresh bread, café and takeaway (all July/Aug). Heated swimming pool (20/5-10/9) with water slide and children’s pools. Playground. Pool table. Multisports area. Volleyball court. Boules pitch. 3G 5-a-side football pitch. Entertainment and some dancing organised in season. Shuttle bus to beach and village (May-Sept). Dogs are not accepted. WiFi in bar area (charged).
