Alan Rogers Review of Camping le Médiéval
Le Médieval is a friendly site located in the pretty village of Turckheim to the west of Colmar, and bordering the River Fecht. There are about 120 flat pitches here, all are 100 sq. m. and have 16A electricity, including 30 deluxe pitches with water and drainage. There are also fully equipped mobile homes available to rent. On-site facilities include a small shop (including a bread/croissant service), a children’s playground and TV room. Shops and restaurants can be accessed on foot (300 m. from the site).
This region is well known for its fine wines, and vineyards surround the site. There are many opportunities for wine tasting and vineyard tours (there are occasional tastings on-site in high season). Turckheim is a medieval village and is a delightful base for an exploration of Alsace. Cycling is prevalent, and the site’s friendly owners will be pleased to recommend routes (cycle hire is available in the village).

Approaching from Colmar take D83 and then the westbound D11 as far as Turckheim. The site is clearly signposted in the village.
