Camping Le Martinet Rouge  is now part of the Flower Group of sites, so you can be assured of a high standard and a warm welcome. This site offers a lot of facilities in a very relaxed environment with 47 large spacious pitches, 44 with EHU, and 3 with private sanitary and kitchen facilities. There are also 16 rental units to fit every family's requirements.  The campsite is split into two sections  The original one is well secluded with irregularly shaped, fairly level, large pitches amongst a variety of trees and shrubs, while the other is on a landscaped gentle hill with some mature trees overlooking the pool. The site really comes into its own as a base for touring the beautiful  Languedoc Roussillon, Carcassonne and Minervois region, as well as the beautiful towns and villages of Aude. 

On-site, you will find an aquatic area with a poolside bar, a grocery shop, an indoor bar, and a very relaxed, calm atmosphere. (Please check opening dates with the site for the pool and restaurant, as these normally are not available until July.) An unusual feature of the site is the massive granite boulders (outcrops of smooth rock from the last ice age) beloved by all children!  This is a useful site from which to visit Carcassonne or to follow the Cathar trail, or visit the Canal du Midi. Pitch quality suffers in hot weather.

This is a campsite that offers more than you would expect. There are four sanitary blocks, laundry, a pool with a water slide, table tennis tables, and a multi-sports pitch.

Although open from April to October, certain facilities are closed in low season and opening times of reception do vary in low season too. Reception does not open until 4.00 p.m. main season 2.00 p.m. -please check the site webpage for current updates

One modern sanitary block with facilities for babies and accessible facilities can be heated in low season. Two refurbished blocks used in high season. Washing machine and dryer.  Washing up facilities, Motorhome service point, Shop for basics (no others locally). Bar, terrace, TV (1/7-15/9). Snack bar (July/Aug). Swimming pool and water slide (15/6-15/9). Petanque. Outdoor fitness area, pool table, Table tennis, Multisport court. Play area for most ages. Entertainment during high season, Wine tasting, bingo, Karaoke, Children's activities during high season, Bicycle hire, Pets allowed, WiFi over site (charged).

Directions to Camping le Martinet Rouge

Site is south of Brousses-et-Villaret, 20 km. northwest of Carcassonne. Best approached via D118, Carcassonne-Mazamet road. Turn onto D103 15 km. north of Carcassonne to Brousses-et-Villaret. Western outskirts of village turn south to site (signed) in 50 m.
