Alan Rogers Review of Camping le Bontemps
This spacious, attractive and extremely well cared for site, between Lyon and Valence in the Rhone Alpes, is enhanced by a variety of trees planted by the original owner over 30 years ago. The 192 large, level and grassy pitches (75 for touring) are arranged in groups, partly separated by neat hedges, all with water and 10A electricity. Many of the pitches are used for mobile homes and chalets, with a group at the back is used by weekenders. This is an excellent site for both short and long stays and the resident French director and his wife, who speak excellent English, have spared no efforts in ensuring that this continues to be a most attractive and comfortable site.
The shop, bar/restaurant and leisure facilities are conveniently placed near the entrance, along with a heated pool complex (sliding roof added in 2014). There is a large park and activity hall to one side of the site, with minigolf, tennis, football, volleyball and badminton, all of which is equally well cared for and attractive.
Facilities at Camping le Bontemps
Two toilet blocks, one recently refurbished to a high standard with accessible facilities. Motorhome services. Shop (15/4-17/9). Bar, restaurant and takeaway (all season). Heated swimming pool, children’s fun pool and slide pool (all season). Several play areas. Minigolf. Tennis. Badminton. Fitness equipment. Extensive list of activities for all the family (high season). Small fishing lake. Free WiFi (30 minutes every 6 hours).
Directions to Camping le Bontemps
Exit A7 south of Lyon at exit 9. Continue south for 7 km. on N7. Just north of Auberives turn left on D37. Follow campsite signs for 7 km. Entrance is on right 4 km. beyond Vernioz.
