Set just 800 metres from the lovely beach, this campsite is in a peaceful area surrounded by nature and offering a great base for discovering this renowned region. Camping La Volta is a family campsite, established more than 40 years ago, and it offers a range of facilities including a pleasant swimming pool with shady terrace, perfect for relaxing on a sunlounger. There’s an adjacent bar-restaurant with seating outside and under cover.
Camping La Volta has good sized pitches with plenty of trees that provide excellent shade in summer. Less than 5 km away is historic Peñiscola, listed as one of Spain’s most beautiful towns, with its array of enticing shops, supermarkets, restaurants and of course the old town with its charming streets and the hilltop castle. Visit the quirky Casa de las Conchas there, a house decorated with shells and painted in dazzling blues. Take a night time tour of the 13th century castle and watch the sun go down as you learn about its colourful history.
Feeling energetic? Tour the Sierra de Irta natural park and cycle or hike along the marked trails.
