Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Ravoire
La Ravoire is the sister site to Camping les Fontaines a more tranquil site just 800 mts from Lake Annecy with amazing views across the valley. (This site will be also part of the Yelloh group in 2025). Access is excellent, there is wide entrance with ample parking, and English is spoken in reception. The site is also very close to the cycle track that circumnavigates the Lake making this site and an ideal base for cyclists and walkers.
The site offers an indoor heated pool and a very large outdoor pool with a very impressive waterslide. I visited in the morning, and many guests were sat on the terrace having a continental breakfast overlooking the pool and the mountains. There is also a restaurant and takeaway, and fresh bread and pastries are available every morning in the well-stocked shop. If you need access to the internet, Wi-Fi is free but in partial areas of the campsite.
The site is noted for its neat and tidy appearance and the quietness of its location in this popular tourist region. The pitches are on well mown grass with some shade and separated by small shrubs and some hedging. All 69 pitches for touring units have 5-15A electricity. Those looking for a campsite in this attractive region without the ‘animation’ programmes that many French sites consider necessary, will find this a peaceful base as the site advises that it has a quiet policy after 10.00 pm.
Access to the banks of the lake is a walk away (albeit across a busy road). Take to the back roads and explore the ancient villages and wonderful countryside. A very short cycle ride finds a 30 km. designated cycle path, which will take you to Annecy. There is a bus service to Annecy and Albertville, as well as a ferry from Doussard, which goes around the lake stopping at various towns and villages along the way.

Directions to Camping la Ravoire
Site is signed from the D1508 (previously N508) Annecy-Albertville road. 13 km. south of Annecy, at traffic lights in Brédannaz, turn right (site signed) and then immediately left. Site on left in 1 km. Large units should use alternative access at the next right turn after the traffic lights.
