Visitors to this pleasant little site, close to the historic walled town of Guérande, will find a relaxed ambience and receive a warm welcome from owners Marc and Joëlle. There are just 110 level, grassy pitches (80 for tourers), most divided by hedges and with electrical connections (6A) and water points nearby. The remainder are occupied by mobile homes, 12 of which are available to rent. The salt marshes that produce the famous Sel de Guérande, the fishing port of La Turballe and a wide variety of sandy beaches and little coves are all within easy reach.
For a relaxing escape, the Marais de la Brière can be explored by boat or pony and trap. In contrast, nearby La Baule offers bustling sophistication, with its vast sandy beach, its crowded shops, bars and restaurants, its nightlife and Casino. The area has a wide choice of tourist activities and destinations, including adventure playgrounds and theme parks. There are several sailing schools where its is possible to sail, canoe or windsurf. Days out could include a cruise on the Arzal river, a visit to Vannes or a boat trip on the Golfe de Morbihan.

Central modern toilet block with controllable showers and some washbasins in cubicles, one cubicle with shower and washbasin. Baby room. En-suite accessible unit. Hot water to covered dishwashing and laundry sinks. Washing machine and dryer. Hairdryer, iron and board available from reception. Bread can be ordered and a small snack bar/takeaway has occasional themed evenings (both July/Aug). Playground. Boules. Electric barbecues are not permitted. Free WiFi over site.
Directions to Camping la Fontaine
Guérande is 80 km. west of Nantes. From Nantes via N165/N171/D213 take D99E Guérande bypass and head north on D233 (St Molf). From Vannes on D774 at junction with D99E take first exit (D233). Site is on left in 1 km.
