La Falaise is a lovely site with direct access to a sandy beach in an unspoilt region of Brittany. This site, like the region, offers no frills, and you really will experience rural French life as it is meant to be. The facilities on the site were excellent, modern, and spotless. There are 150 pitches, of which 66 are for touring units with water and electricity (Europlugs).55 pitches are occupied by mobile homes and chalets (some to rent). The pitches were very generous and divided by established hedging. English is spoken at reception, and check-in was quick and easy. They will try to accommodate you if you want a pitch with a view over the bay.

 This is a lovely site, and justly so, but don’t expect round-the-clock entertainment; it is a site to relax on and enjoy the local region. This site would suit those with motorhomes as a small car rental service is available by the hour or day. Bicycle hire is also provided. On-site, you will find modern sanitary facilities with relaxing music to ensure you start the day refreshed and relaxed.  You can spend your days chilling out by the heated pool and wading pool (both indoors). If you are feeling more active, you have direct access to the beach, and during July/Aug, the site provides Life Guard cover. 

Just 500 metres down the road is La Turballe, a bustling fishing port with a good selection of shops and eateries as well as a sailing school.  You can catch a boat trip out to the pretty islands of Morbihan from here. Nearby, Guérande, on the edge of the Grande Brière natural park, merits a visit with its excellent market and fascinating salt marshes. Further south around the Guérande peninsula lies La Baule, with its famous crescent of sandy beach, just the highlight of many in the area.

Directions to Camping la Falaise

Take the D99 from Guérande to La Turballe and then continue towards Piriac-sur-Mer. Bypass La Turballe and the site is on this road after a further kilometre.
