Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Coutelière
La Coutelière is a friendly, family-run site nestling in the hills of the Lubéron National Park, at the heart of Provence. There are 103 pitches with 84 good sized grass touring pitches, all with 10A electricity and access to water points (14 with their own and wastewater). They are separated by low hedges and mature trees provide good shade. Some very attractive pitches lie alongside the River Sorgue. Some family activities are arranged, but the owners aim to provide an attractive base for relaxing family holidays and peaceful retreats for couples. There are occasional family nights in the summer but no entertainment discos to disturb the peace.
Fresh bread is available every day, and in peak season a takeaway pizza service is offered. Popular excursions include the bric-a-brac markets at Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the beautiful hill villages and the great papal city of Avignon. The Vaucluse is wonderful walking and cycling country and the site owners have plenty of ideas for day trips.
Facilities at Camping la Coutelière
Two toilet blocks have been renovated and can be heated. Accessible facilities, Washbasins in cabins, controllable showers and equipment for people with reduced mobility. Fresh bread and local wine for sale. Take away, groceries and ice cream (seasonal). Heated outdoor swimming pool (seasonal). Children's pool. Children's activities in the morning only during the high season (english-lingual club for children 5 - 12 years). Tennis. Basketball. Boules. Canoeing, swimming and fishing in the river. Fishing opens from 2 April to 18 September, WiFi (paid).

Leave A7 autoroute, take junction 24 (Avignon Sud), take D900 east for 9 km. Turn northeast on D24 towards Fontaine de Vaucluse. Site is on left in 2.5 km.
