Alan Rogers Review
Sites et Paysages la Colombière is a family owned site, located on the edge of the small village of Neydens, a few minutes from the A40 autoroute and only a short drive from Geneva. It is an attractive site with 93 pitches (10/16A electricity), all reasonably level and separated by fruit trees, flowering shrubs and hedges. Forty-one new pitches and a toilet block have recently been added in an attractive, landscaped field. Neydens makes a good base for visiting Geneva and the region around the lake. It is a very pleasant, friendly site where you may drop in for a night stop – and stay for several days! The site is open all year for motorhomes and suitable caravans. English is spoken.
There are views to the east and west of the mountain ridges. M. Bussat owns a small vineyard close to the site, has the wine made in Switzerland and sells it in his restaurant. One of France’s long distance footpaths (GR65) passes close to the site. The village of Neydens is the first stage for pilgrims from Northern Europe on the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostella on their way to cross the Pyrénées at Saint Pied-de-Port. The site has a dormitory with eight beds for pilgrims or for anyone else who may need a bed.
Three sanitary blocks (one heated) include facilities for disabled visitors. Motorhome services. Fridge hire. Gas supplies. Good bar/restaurant (all season) and terrace overlooking the pool (1/5-15/9). New heated, indoor pool, spa pool and jacuzzi. Games room. Organised visits and activities (all season). Bicycle hire. Hire car. Archery. Boules. Playground. WiFi throughout (charged). Max. 1 dog.
From A40 south of Geneva take exit 13 and then N201 towards Annecy. After 2 km. turn left into village of Neydens and follow campsite signs to site in just over 1 km.Link to campsite location map on google
