Alan Rogers Review
A charming site amongst the olive trees, set high on a hill to catch cool summer breezes. Matilde, the daughter of the Martin-Rodriguez family, and her husband run this site with enthusiasm and hard work, making a visit here a delightful experience. Everything is immaculately kept with excellent amenities and standards.
The 35 pitches are level with a gravel surface, and most have shade. There is a large pool in a garden setting and the restaurant, with its traditional rustic charm, has a delightful menu of homemade food. Breakfast is included in pitch prices. Fresh bread and croissants are cooked to order, or you can have an inclusive breakfast on the terrace with the piquant smell of olive trees drifting from the fields. The area is famous for its natural beauty, wine and olives (excursions can be arranged to see olive oil made and to a local ‘bodega’ for the winemaking). Reservation is essential for the high season and November-February.
Two small traditional sanitary blocks (heated in winter) have clean services, including separate facilities for disabled campers (key at reception). Washing machines. Restaurant. Snack bar. Shop. Outdoor swimming pool (Apr-Oct). Bicycle hire. Play area. TV room. Yoga lessons. Torches useful. Walks and excursions arranged. WiFi throughout.
From the A4/E5 (Sevilla-Córdoba) take exit 427 (La Rambla-Montilla) or 424 (La Victoria). Continue past Santaella towards La Victoria. Site is tucked off this road behind high hedging. From the A92 use exit 109 (Puente-Genil) or from A45 (Malaga-Córdoba), exit 23 (La Rambla) and on towards Santaella.Link to campsite location map on google
