Alan Rogers Review
This is the perfect site for a visit to the Plitvice Lakes National Park (over 100 sq.km), deservedly one of Croatia’s most famous attractions with its waterfalls, vegetation and lakes. This 35-hectare site has a large, park-like environment and 550 unmarked pitches. Tourers can choose between the tarmac hardstandings close to the entrance and open grass plots with spectacular views towards the rear of the site. All have 16A electricity. The site has a good information centre and planning a visit to the park is well worthwhile. We took Tour E, down the waterfalls, which takes two and a half hours.
A large restaurant provides a good choice of reasonably prices meals and there is a separate welcoming bar and shop selling a variety of basic items.
The well maintained toilet blocks include facilities for disabled visitors. Washing machines. Motorhome services. Large restaurant. Shop is opened in the morning and afternoon and a dedicated information office with details about the National Park is open all day. No charcoal barbecues. WiFi (free in information office). 47 furnished cabins for hire.
Take road from Karlovac to Plitvicka. Camp Korana is on the left, just past village of Grabovac. Site is north of the park area just before the village of Seliste and is signed.Link to campsite location map on google
