This is the perfect site for a visit to the Plitvice Lakes National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site of over 100 sq. km), just 6 km away and deservedly one of Croatia’s most famous attractions with its waterfalls, lush vegetation and lakes. This 35-hectare site has a large, park-like environment and 550 unmarked pitches amid a naturally wooded landscape which offers plenty of activities for lovers of the great outdoors.

Tourers can choose between the tarmac hardstandings close to the entrance and open grassy plots with spectacular views towards the rear of the site. All have 16A electricity. The site has a good information centre, and planning a visit to the park is a must for most visitors with stunning scenery all around. Tour E leads walkers down to the gorgeous waterfalls, a trail that takes two and a half hours. A large restaurant provides a good choice of reasonably priced meals and a separate welcoming bar and shop selling various basic items.

Facilities

The well-maintained toilet blocks include accessible facilities. Washing machines. Motorhome services. Large restaurant. The shop is open in the morning and afternoon, and a dedicated information office with details about the National Park is open all day. No charcoal barbecues. WiFi (free in the information office). 47 furnished cabins for hire.

Location

Take road from Karlovac to Plitvicka. Camp Korana is on the left, just past village of Grabovac. Site is north of the park area just before the village of Seliste and is signed.
