Alan Rogers Review of Camping Heino
Situated in the heart of Overijssel, this is a pleasantly situated site. Large, flat grassy pitches, some separated by low hedges and others circled in fields, are numbered and access is easy. There are 324 pitches with 200 available for touring (all with 10A electricity, water and drainage) which are separate from the seasonal pitches. A good indoor pool with a slide and a separate area for young children is located by the entrance. The small lake was dry and in need of maintenance, as indeed were some of the buildings. The tennis court was run down and the site appeared well used.
The bar/restaurant doubles as an entertainment area for discos and other entertainment throughout the season. A children’s club (3-9 yrs) provides activities all season. Basic supplies including fresh bread and milk are available from reception. Two large adventure type play areas one under cover are modern and centrally located, and the outdoor pool is open during warm weather. There is a trailer bus around site in high season. Torches would be useful.
Facilities at Camping Heino
Two centrally located toilet blocks, one unisex. Hot and cold water to washbasins, none in cabins. Rather small showers in cubicles (charged). Facilities for children. Accessible facilities doubles as family bathroom and was unlocked. Good laundry facilities. Bar/restaurant. Tennis. Bicycle hire. WiFi over site (charged).
