Camping Groenpark is a popular wooded campsite in the heart of the Scheldt region of eastern Flanders. Between Antwerp and Ghent, it is only 10 minutes walk from a lake and close to the Donkmeer, the second largest lake in Flanders.

There are 70 pitches, of which 45 good sized, level, grass pitches are for touring and access is good for large units. The pitches are naturally laid out in glades between the trees, some shady, some sunny and all have 16A electricity. There is an area especially for motorhomes and a large, quiet open camping meadow. The site has large shower rooms, popular with families and a giant central barbecue area.

There is no on-site entertainment, but this is an ideal area for cycling and walking, with many picturesque villages close by. You can relax on-site around the central barbecue point or stroll to the nearby bars and restaurants. The small village of Donk, only 500 m, has a weekly market and restaurants and outdoor cafés.

The site is around two hours from Dunkirk and Calais making it an ideal stopover between France, Belgium and Holland. It is also only 25 minutes away by car from the beautiful, historic city of Ghent.

Facilities

One large, toilet block at entrance and a smaller block on-site with cabins containing toilet, shower and washbasin. Family shower room. Washing machine and dryer. Motorhome services. No shop, bar or meals but the town is only 500 m. TV room. Play area. WiFi on part of site (charged).

Location

Leave E17 motorway exit 12 (Lokeren) onto N47 southeast for 4.7 km. then N445 west towards Ghent for 5.7 km. Site is on left just beyond the Zele exit sign.
