Camping Etang de la Bonde is a terraced site in the heart of Provence, alongside the lake of the same name which is a lovely green blue colour, with a forest around it and a chateau at the other side. The site has a reception with a small shop, bar and restaurant beside the lake beach. The 140 touring pitches have a 10 amp-hook-up point and are at the back of the site from where there is a gate to the lake. This section of the site has its own toilet block. There are also 50 mobile homes available to hire.

There is a walkway through the forest around the lake, this comes to an end at the chateau, but you can walk through vineyards to circumnavigate the lake. The site is well placed to explore some of the gorgeous towns and villages of the surrounding Luberon, many of them had featured in the film A Good year. It's hardly surprising that they used these villages as film sets as they are gorgeous places. Cucuron has a rather unusual large fountain and on market day, the stalls set up around the lake.

Directions to Camping Etang de la Bonde

From the A7/E714 take exit 25 Cavaillon. After the toll station turn right to join the D99 go over the River Durance and at a roundabout take the first exit and follow this road to the junction with the D923 and join it towards Pertuis. In Pertuis follow D9 in direction Cabrières d'Aiges. At a roundabout turn right onto D27. The site is on the left off this road.
