Camping Elizabeth Hoeve is in an open landscape in the centre of the island of Goeree-Overflakkee in South Holland, next to the town of Melissant. This spacious campsite provides a per5fect6 holiday for those seeking a quiet and relaxing holiday. The site has 102 grass pitches, of which 22 are for touring units, and it has 16-amp hook-up points and 80 seasonal pitches. Enjoy the privacy and shade offered by the lush greenery that surrounds the spacious camping pitches. The campsite's open layout is ideal for leisurely walks and cycling, and its proximity to several sandy beaches ensures plenty of opportunities for water-based activities.

For touring campers, a designated passer-by field offers large, private pitches. The nearby village of Melissant, located less than 500 metres away, provides essential amenities, including a supermarket and shops. At the same time, the vibrant town of Middelharnis, just eight kilometres away, offers a wider range of shopping and dining options. The campsite's modern sanitary building, conveniently located near the passer-by field, features ample showers and toilets, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic stay. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate Elizabeth Hoeve's proximity to the Slikken van Flakkee nature reserve. This water-rich reserve is home to a variety of wildlife, including Heck cattle, fjord horses, Scottish highlanders, roe deer, and rabbits. This is also an excellent breeding area for birds such as pheasants, avocets and lapwings. You might also spot a little tern, a Kentish plover or a little egret from the vantage points.  There are many more trips to undertake in the vicinity. For example, the Grevelingenmeer offers various water sports activities, and you can visit the Delta Works, the fishing port of Stellendam and the regional museum in Sommelsdijk.

Directions to Camping Elizabeth Hoeve

The island of Goeree-Overflakkee can be reached via the N57 (from the north, via Hellevoetsluis) or from the east via the N59. Then take the N215, which runs between Stellendam and Oude-Tonge, and turn off at kilometre marker 13.4 towards Melissant. You then drive through an open landscape via the Provincialeweg and the Noorddijk to the site.
