Between pastures, forests and volcanoes, Camping du Viaduc is situated beside lake Saint Etienne Cantalès (alt. 520 m) which is popular with anglers and used by various pleasure craft. This friendly, family campsite is quiet and offers 45 pitches for touring set amongst mature trees. Most have 10A electricity connections. Pitches have been arranged on a peninsula and some enjoy fine views over the lake where fishing is an option but swimming is not allowed; the site has a modern pool for this activity. Eight mobile homes and a log cabin are available to rent. Large units may find access difficult due to the narrow and winding roads to the site. Twin axle caravans are not accepted.
Set at the heart of the dramatic Massif Central, the Auvergne is now heavily forested and offers world class opportunities for walking and cycling amongst long extinct volcanoes, lakes, sparkling rivers and lush valleys. The market town of Aurillac lies 18 km. distant and is capital of the Cantal. This is a smart town with some attractive parks and good shopping.

A single heated toilet block has accessible facilities. Children’s room. Laundry. Motorhome services. Bread to order. Shop, bar and takeaway (all season). Outdoor swimming pool (1/6-15/9). Play area. Canoes for hire. Only charcoal barbecues permitted. Communal barbecue. Free WiFi over part of site.

The campsite is situated 18 km. from Aurillac. Take N122 then D561 towards Pers. Then follow site signs.
