Camping du Pied Girard is a quiet, family-friendly site in Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard on the Vendée coast. The site has 93 pitches for touring units and a 10-amp hook-up point, seven seasonal, and 5 log cabins or safari tents available to hire. Mature trees fill much of the site’s land, so there is always a shaded spot if you are seeking to escape the sun or chill out after an eventful day. Facilities on-site include a playground and a boules court, and there’s a tennis court a short walk away.

The nearest beach is a 15-minute amble through the woods. Walking trails ranging from two to six kilometres can be reached straight from the site and go through forests, along the riverbank, and by the coast. Your children will be pleased to know that days out at the zoo, a waterpark, an aquarium, or a treetop adventure park involve less than a half-hour drive. Even closer, the village centre is only a few minutes walk away from a supermarket, restaurant and summertime schedule of open-air concerts and night markets.

The Vendée coast is known for its stunning scenery, and Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard is a great place to base yourself for exploring it. You can take a walk or bike ride along the coast path, or go for a swim or paddle in the clear waters. You can also try your hand at surfing, kitesurfing, or windsurfing.

Directions to Camping du Pied Girard

Leave A87 at Roche-sur-Yon via D747 and after 2 km direction Aubigny. Here follow D36 until Nieul-le-Dolent and then D4 to Talmont-Saint-Hilaire. Then D21 to St. Vincent-sur-Jard. The right on the D19A. Site is on the west side follow signs.
