Alan Rogers Review
The site consists of two areas, a very large area with Mobile Homes and Chalets to rent, which you pass through to get to a much smaller area where the 80 touring pitches are. These vary in size from 80 m2 to 100 m2, 73 have 10 amp hookups, and you can select sun or shade; if you are fortunate, there are nine lakeside pitches, all pitches are close to the lake, and you do have direct access to swim or picnic.
Walking or cycling around the lake is very popular and as you would expect there are many activities on the lake. There is a new modern sanitary block within the touring area with baby change and laundry rooms. There is a small swimming pool, mini golf, and children's play area on-site, all by the restaurant/bar with outside seating.
There is fresh bread and refreshments at the entrance; unfortunately, there is no real shop and a mini market 4km away. Lake Aydat beach is a short walk, and there is also a sailing school, adventure park and donkeys to visit and ride. Access is good but keeps right past the vending huts as you enter the site entrance - this is not clearly marked; sat nav can be relied upon.
