Le Bois de Beaumard is a small site with just 47 pitches, 40 for touring and with electricity (10A), close to Pontchâteau, and the new owners are an enthusiastic, young couple. This is a very rural site with a variety of well shaded, level and grassy pitches divided by hedges and surrounded by a profusion of different trees and shrubs. A small lake adjoins the site and is well stocked with carp and other fish. There is a small bar here in high season and a children’s playing area. Basic provisions can be bought on site, including some regional produce and fresh bread and croissants. This site will be a great find for those looking for a small, quiet and well run campsite.

The Isac, Don and Brivet are three very attractive rivers and can be explored by rowing boat or canoe. A little further afield, the Grand Brière is a great expanse of waterways and pastures, also best explored by boat. Pontchâteau merits a visit and is an interesting town with a good selection of shops and restaurants. It is also well situated for discovering the attractions of the Loire Atlantique. The great city of Nantes to the south can be reached within 30 minutes and has a great deal of interest.

Location

Approaching from Nantes, head north on N165. Leave at Pontchâteau and follow signs to the town centre, and then to site.
