Camping Diever is just outside the quiet, rural village of Diever and close to the Drents-Friese Wold nature reserve. The campsite has 210 touring pitches, all with 10A electricity, and 11 camping pods arranged informally around the site, located between trees and separated by natural greenery. Some of the ground is sandy with some grass areas found, off the sandy access roads.
The campsite is car-free, with parking at the entrance and electric vehicle charge points available. Innovative features include a dishwashing service which is not only efficient but an ecologically sound choice too. The heated sanitary facilities are modern and cleaned regularly, a family shower room is available. Hot water is available, with remaining credit refunded at the end of your stay. through a pre-paid card system.
The village of Diever is an easy 15-minute walk, where local attractions include the open-air theatre where Shakespearean plays are performed throughout the summer. You could also visit one of the famous hunebeds (Neolithic dolmen) and the Museum of Coaches. This whole area is excellent for long walks and cycling tours. In high season, an entertainment team arranges activities, and the site organises walks through the woods with a forester.
Close by is the Duinenzathe theme park in Appelscha.
