This site is easily accessed from the A15 southern Rotterdam ring road and is situated right by the river, so it is well worth considering if you are visiting Rotterdam or want a peaceful stop amid rural surroundings. It also doubles as a marina, with 117 berths and a trailer ramp. The touring pitches are sited away from the residential section; all are on grass and have a 10A hook-up. Leafy trees dot the site, and there is a pleasant separate touring area for 11 motorhomes with electricity, water and wastewater connections in a hedged group near the marina and river.

The Oude Maas (Old Meuse) carries barges that make up much of the passing river traffic. The site has a section for seasonal units and mobile homes in a woodland setting, well back from the river on level grass. The small town of Heerjansdam is within 1,500 m. and has shops, bars and restaurants. The main attractions are in Rotterdam, which is within reach by bicycle and via public transport from Barendecht, which is probably best initially accessed by car or preferably by bus.

Best approached from Hook/Rotterdam then A29 Rotterdam-Bergen op Zoom motorway. Leave A29 at exit 20 (Barendrecht) and follow signs for Heerjansdam and site.
