This is a tranquil, rural site located on the banks of the Lot river. There are just 50 pitches, of which four are used for chalets. Most have electricity, although some require long leads. Many have shade and some are separated by hedges. Very large units may have difficulties reaching a few pitches. Fishing from the river bank on the site is possible, as is swimming. The site also has a small, unheated swimming pool. Many interesting walks are possible in the surrounding hills. A well equipped, basic site for a taste of the real countryside, popular with Dutch visitors.

Coursavy is in the south of the Auvergne in the Gorges du Lot where the microclimate gives a mild early spring. There are many watersports centres along the unspoilt banks of the river Lot. The old town of Entraygues-sur-Truyere is only 18 km. upstream where the Lot and Truyère rivers merge. There is no shop on site but the baker calls each day and vegetables are available twice weekly. Other simple shops are in Grand-Varbre 2.5 km. away This is a quiet site and there is no organised entertainment. The Dutch owner has prepared maps for walks from the site and will willingly give suggestions and advice.

One central, very clean toilet block includes accessible facilities and baby rooms. Washing machine, mangle and washing line. Fresh bread daily, fresh vegetables twice weekly. Small swimming pool. Sports field. Fishing. Chalets to rent. Free WiFi over site. Torches required.

Directions to Camping de Coursavy

Site is northwest of Rodez and best approached from the west. North of Decazeville turn onto D42 at Port d’Agres (for Conques). Follow Lot Valley for 13 km. and turn right on D141 (Entraygues). Site is signed on the right.
