Camping De Betuwe Hoeve is a small campsite in Ommeren, Gelderland, Netherlands. It is located in the heart of the Betuwe region, known for its beautiful nature and picturesque villages, and it is not far from Tiel and Rhenen. Twenty five spacious touring pitches with electric hook-up points are available. Pitches are all laid on grass, and in wet weather, a tractor is used to place your caravan in a dedicated spot, as cars are not allowed to drive on the site. Some pitches are found at the edge of a woodland, offering the most privacy and shade. The rest are more open but are demarcated with hedges on either side.
Camping Betuwe Hoeve does not have many facilities, but they are within the immediate vicinity of the campsite. Everything needed is within walking or cycling distance, and right next to the campsite, you will find a café and farm shop. Lienden, which is two kilometres away from the campsite, has a supermarket, a bakery and several cafes and restaurants. The farm has a dedicated car parking area, with a sanitary building, recreation room and reception building behind it. The atmosphere at the campsite is friendly, relaxed, and very quiet. Once a week, a BBQ or pizza evening is organised, which is the perfect time to get to know fellow campers and exchange experiences about sights and the best cycling routes.
Camping De Betuwe Hoeve is an ideal base for exploring the Betuwe region. There are a number of cycling and walking routes in the area, and the campsite is also close to a number of attractions, including the Lingebos nature reserve, the Kasteel Amerongen castle, and the Ouwehands Dierenpark zoo.
