This site is set in the Southern Alps with amazing views from most pitches. The site is south of Grenoble on the N75 and close to the local village. It is well-signposted, and access is easy. There are 71 pitches, 65 with EHU, and just 34 rentals set one 4 ha, so the pitches are generous and open plan. This area is excellent for walking, photography, and exploring the Alps. It is also a good stop-off on your way to the Cote d Azure and Aix en Provence, and it is just 32 miles from the beautiful town of Gap. 

English is spoken, and reception is located in a traditional chalet where you will be made very welcome by the campsite owners Cecile & Vincent, who will advise you on the most suitable pitch for your outfit. As this site is in a mountainous region, some pitches are on a slope, so levelling blocks may be required. 

Facilities such as an outdoor covered swimming pool and a restaurant and bar, which are open all day, are available on-site. WiFi is available across the entire campsite for those wanting to stay connected. Camping Champ la Chèvre is a popular family site, with a range of activities and creative crafts that children will love during July and August.

This is a good base for exploring the mountains and the owners have many ideas for excursions in the area, including downhill mountain biking, swimming in local rivers and hundreds of kilometres of walking trails. The nearby village of Lus-La-Croix-Haute is pretty and has a good range of shops and a small railway station.

Covered Heated swimming pool (High season). Play area. Table tennis, pool table, Children’s club (July/Aug). TV, Petanque, Picnic area, Pets allowed, WIFI.

Directions to Camping Champ la Chèvre

From the north, head south from Grenoble initially on the A480 and then the A51 towards Sisteron. Then join the southbound N75 for 35 km. to Lus-la-Croix-Haute. Drive through the village and site is well signed.
