An attractive campsite, C’era una Volta is about 6 km. back from the sea, situated on a hillside with panoramic views. The 165 touring pitches are on terraces in different sections of the site. Varying in size, most have shade from the young trees which harbour crickets with their distinctive noise. Some of the upper pitches have good views. Cars are required to park in separate areas at busy times. There are electricity connections, with water and drainage close by. Charges are high in season but the site has an enjoyable atmosphere and is a good choice for families.

The charming character restaurant has a large sheltered terrace. Amenities include four excellent swimming pools in different parts of the site, open in the main season. One is large (30 m) with a paddling pool in the upper area, another elevated pool plus a large paddling pool is by the restaurant and is overlooked by the entertainment area. Sports and other events are organised in season, including evening dancing or entertainment. A small concealed section at the top of the site is fenced off for naturists to sunbathe in privacy. A private beach is 7 km. serviced by a bus in July and August.

The main toilet block is modern and above average with hot water throughout. Four additional smaller blocks are spread around the site. Maintenance can be variable. Shop. Bar and pizzeria (15/5-10/9). Restaurant. Takeaway (evenings only, all season). Disco (July/Aug). Swimming pools (15/5-20/9). Small gym. Fitness track. Miniclub. Health centre with Finnish sauna. Hydromassage bath/shower. Turkish bath. Hydrojet massage bed. Tennis. Large adventure playground. Boules. Free WiFi over part of site. Satellite TV. Communal barbecue.

Directions to Camping C’era una Volta

Leave A10 at Albenga, turn left and left again at roundabout for the SS453 for Villanova. At T-junction turn left (Garlenda), turn right in 200 m. and follow signs up a long winding narrow road beyond the Stadium.
