Overlooking the lake and situated between the Morbihan Gulf and the Quiberon peninsula, this site is only 3 km. from the port of La Trinité-sur-Mer while the famous megaliths are even closer. The site is well maintained, with flowering landscaped gardens and mature trees and shrubs, giving plenty of shade and some privacy. The 150 pitches are of various sizes, many providing superb views of the lake; there is good access for larger units.

The owner aims to appeal to young families and couples looking for a quiet holiday in an idyllic setting. The lake is ideal for canoeing, and one- and two-person canoes are available to rent on-site. Canoeing courses are also on offer in peak season.

Alternatively, sailing trips are available on a traditional ‘yole de mer’. Children will love the mini-farm, and can get involved in the daily children’s club (July/August). Bicycle hire is available, and for motorhome owners, the site’s low-cost car rental service could prove useful.

Directions to Camping Carnac Le Lac

From N165 Vannes-Lorient dual carriageway, south of Auray, take exit for Carnac and Ploemel. Head southwest on D768 for 4 km. then turn south on D186 La Trinité-sur-Mer road. Camping du Lac is well signed from here and is at the end of a long access road (about 1.5 km).
