Alan Rogers Review of Camping Campo Al Fico
Camping Campo Al Fico is a simple no frills campsite with a pleasant pool, basic entertainment area, restaurant, terrace and bar. The 150 pitches are grassed and some have shade. They are arranged in rows with some hedging and are somewhat cramped. It is a low key family site 1.5 km. from the beach and a free shuttle bus operates twice daily. Traffic noise is experienced from the busy road along the front boundary. We see this more as a transit site than one for an extended stay. Upon arrival here visitors must pay a € 3 deposit for a wrist band. The deposit is returned when the band is cut off on departure.
The restaurant is plain but serves a good value menu of the day based on a fish or meat dish. This area is rich with history and there are Etruscan ruins a short distance away. The site will arrange low cost tours to Rome, Florence and Elba.
Facilities at Camping Campo Al Fico
Two old but clean, large blocks have mainly British style WCs, cold water in washbasins and hot showers. Accessible Facilities in one block. Washing machines. Motorhome services. Shop. Bar. Simple restaurant. Pizzeria and takeaway. Swimming pool (25x15 m; not supervised, May-Sept). Tennis. Play area. Simple evening entertainment for adults. Mountain bike hire. Free shuttle bus to beach twice daily.

From Aeuralia autoroute take Follnica North exit. Make for Riotorto and at roundabout indicating Riotorto 1 km. north, take the Piombino road. Site is 1 km. on the left.
