Camping Bonanza 1 is a modern, family site within walking distance of a good beach and close to the centre of the important resort of Blankenberge, home to Belgium’s only sea pier. Pitches here are grassy and are generally without shade. All have 10A electrical connections. A separate area for tents is available at the rear of the site. The centrally located toilet blocks are well maintained (a small charge is made for hot showers). On-site amenities include the friendly Azura bar/bistro, with a terrace overlooking the well-appointed playground for children.

Blankenberge is undeniably one of Belgium’s premier seaside resorts. It is lively with a popular casino and plenty of cafés, restaurants and many other amenities. By way of contrast, the small city of Bruges is just 13 km. away and easily reached by train.

This is arguably Europe’s best preserved medieval city and richly merits a visit. The entire centre features on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Cycling is very popular in this area and there are miles of excellent tracks throughout the surrounding polders. There is a convenient and regular tram service operating along the coast.

Directions to Camping Bonanza 1

From west (France) leave A10 motorway at exit 7 (Loppem), taking N397 towards Zedelgem and join N31 northbound. Continue to N371 exit (Blankenberge). Follow N371 and at second roundabout turn right on N335 (Zeebruggelaan). Site is east of Blankenberge town centre on Zeebruggelaan and is well signed.
