Camping Bled is situated on the western tip of Lake Bled. The waterfront here has a small public beach, immediately behind which runs a gently sloping narrow wooded valley. There are wonderful views across the lake towards its famous island. Pitches at the front, used mainly for overnighters, are now marked, separated by trees and enlarged, bringing the total number to 280. All are on gravel/grass with 16A electricity. A railway line passes close by but it is only a local line with few trains and they do not disturb the peacefulness of the site.
Prominently perched, high above the lake, is an imposing castle which is open to the public. A tour around the lake is possible either on foot, by boat, by horse-drawn carriage or the road train which passes the site every half an hour. The town of Bled is just 2 km. away with all the usual facilities. Being on the edge of the Triglav National Park with its magnificent mountain scenery, Bled is a paradise for walking and mountain biking.
