Camping Bled is situated on the western tip of Lake Bled and is an excellent example of how a site should be run, check-in is quick and efficient, and English is spoken. The site is large but well-spaced, with 244 touring pitches, all with electric, 40 fully serviced pitches and six with private sanitary facilities; most pitches benefit from shade. Pitches at the front are used mainly for overnighters. There are lovely views across the lake toward its famous island. This site is well-organised, and the facilities are modern and spotless.

You have direct access to Lake Bled, which does not disappoint if you wish to enjoy the view. The waterfront here has a small public beach immediately behind, which runs a gently sloping narrow wooded valley. A bar/Restaurant/Coffee & Cake shop on site overlooks the lake. If you are feeling more active, walking or cycling around the lake is a good option, or rent a picnic basket, hire a rowing boat and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

The main entertainment is enjoying the lake and its surroundings. Bled is 2km away, and there is a Land Train into Bled that also circles the Lake, or you can hire a Horse Drawn Carriage for a trip around the lake. Archery is another popular activity with an Archery school at the gate of the campsite. If you wish to take the boat to the island, be warned there are 99 steps leading up to the Church. There is no pool but swimming in the Lake is permitted and very popular. Access to this site is effortless, and the sat-nav can be relied upon.

Toilet facilities in five blocks are of a high standard (with free hot showers). Three blocks are heated. Private bathrooms for rent. Accessible facilities, Solar energy is used. Location

From the town of Bled drive along south shore of lake keeping to the right, to its western extremity (some 2 km) to the site. Site is well signed.
