Camping Birkensee has 167 grass touring pitches (half are for seasonal units) for caravans or motorhomes with 16amp electric hook-up point. Some are suitable for tents, if you are a cyclist or not you will find these the perfect spot for your own tent. The site is idyllically situated in the middle of the Bockmerholz nature reserve, surrounded by woods, fields and bordering bushes. It is not far from the state capital Hanover (10 km) and the exhibition area (3.5 km). It has its own bathing lake and beach which invites you to relax and linger. A hiking and cycling path allows the opportunity to explore the area. The restaurant with terrace and beer garden offers the perfect setting for cosy evenings with your friends or other guests to simply to relax in bad weather. Shopping facilities are only a few minutes by car from the site.
Alternatively, if you are you looking for a cheap accommodation in Hanover (close to the exhibition area). Why not stay in the “Caravan Motel”. The site will provide a simple but inexpensive overnight stay. You rent a caravan (including 5 kWh electricity and a 5 kg bottle of gas) and use the site's toilet facilities.
