Alan Rogers Review of Campsite La Mottelette
Camping de la Mottelette, is situated on a working farm between Rue and Forest-Montier. The farmer and his wife are very welcoming and their little site is delightful. With room for 30 touring units, the field is open plan with no marked pitches. The grass is well maintained and there are ample water and electricity (4/6A) points dotted around the site. Most of the site is open with lovely views over the countryside, but there are a few trees for shade along one edge of the field. This is an ideal stopover site, being very close to the A16 autoroute, but also an excellent base to explore this interesting area with so much to see and do.
It is probably not suitable for older children wanting a lively site. All the facilities are housed in attractive, converted farm buildings, including a Chambre d’Hôtes with four bedrooms. The farm shop sells mainly their own fresh produce.

One toilet block (unisex) is spotlessly clean, with showers and washbasins in cubicles. Accessible Toilet and shower room. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Small shop (10/5-31/8). Games room in barn with table tennis and football table. Small play area. WiFi. Mobile homes and roulottes for hire.
