Campéole Clairefontaine is situated on the outskirts of Royan, 300 m. from a golden sandy beach and a casino. This is a busy site which has benefited from much recent investment and many of the facilities, especially the sanitary facilities, are of a high standard. There are 246 pitches of which 123 are available for touring units. Electricity (10A) is available to all pitches but some may require long leads. The site is mostly shaded and level with easy access to pitches. American motorhomes are accepted but care is needed on the entrance road to the site as it is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass.
The reception area is large and welcoming and English is spoken. A programme of entertainment is provided in July and August and includes karaoke, singers and folk groups. There are many places of interest to visit, notably the nature reserves, the lighthouse at Cordouan, forests and the oyster beds of Marennes and Oléron.

Two very modern sanitary blocks. Good accessible facilities. Washing machines. Motorhome services. Bar and restaurant with takeaway (June-mid Sept). Large swimming and paddling pools (15/6-15/9). Four play areas. Games room with TV. Tennis. Basketball. Entertainment in high season. Internet access. WiFi in some areas (charged). Accommodation to rent (113 units).

Exit Royan on Avenue de Pontaillac towards La Palmyre. Turn right at the casino on the front, up Avenue Louise. Site is on left after 200 m. and is signed.
