Ideal for families, Bunken Strand is located in natural surroundings between forest and sand dunes, by the safe, gently shelving sea. Most of the 700 pitches are arranged in tree-lined avenues and bordered on three sides by mature hedges and trees, providing peace and privacy for each unit.
Closer to the dunes and the beach, an open area is just the place for those who wish to enjoy more of the sunshine on this coast, which experiences the very best of Denmark’s climate. Conveniently located close to the ports of Fredrickshavn and Hirtshals, it would make a good stopover or short stay, but has everything necessary for a longer summer stay by the sea.
It is close to Skagen, which has excellent access by bicycle or public transport and is the most northerly point of Denmark. Famous for the special light that has been a magnet for artists over the years, it also has a fishing harbour with restaurants, bars and some nightlife. Local visits include the Råbjerg Mile, a dune migrating towards the Kattegat at 15 m. per year, and an eagle sanctuary.
