Alan Rogers Review
Broadhembury Caravan & Camping Park is found in the quiet countryside just outside Ashford and within easy reach of London, Dover, Folkestone and the Kent coast. There are areas for family camping with play areas and amenities designed with children in mind and separate quiet meadows just for adults with new luxury facilities.
In total, the park takes 110 touring units of any type. The well-kept pitches are on level grass and backed by tall, neat hedges, 105 with electricity connections (10/16A). In addition, six pitches are fully serviced, and ten more have double hardstanding plus a grass area for an awning. The welcome is friendly at this popular park and is often full in the main season.
Thoughtfully considered amenities in the family area include a very good toilet block, well equipped campers’ kitchen and provision for children of all ages. The new facilities in the couples area incorporate ecological considerations with solar panels for heating and hot water and rain water harvesting. LED lighting, low wattage hair and hand dryers and underfloor heating have all been used. Security arrangements are excellent with coded entry through the gates and onto the park. A trip to France is easily possible with the International railway terminal at Ashford (Paris in two hours) – take your passport. A member of the Best of British group.
